Like - you have in GSC 10 slots for phone numbers and you can easily delete them. It's allows players for easy customization of who they want to have contact with.
You want rematches? Add Joey or whatever to phone.
You want evolution stones? In Crystal add Gina, Tully and two other trainers i remembers names of.
You want some random shit trivia, info about swarms, something else? There are also people for it, too!
Finally - you want everyone to shut the hell up? Just clear your phone and you'll be fine!
Obviously in HGSS they fucked it and there's infinite space in phonebook and you can't remove people from it, duh.
