Are they the strongest protags? The only ones that might come close are Victor/Gloria if you believe Leon lore that much and Eternatus stats.

If battling Red is kne of the player characters final acts and their canon has not been revisited since then, it’s not possible to tell whether Red won or lost any of those matches.

You guys also have to realize, every game cartridge is basically it’s own universe. They’re all canon in their own way.

What don't you understand about literal god? Zygarde, Ultra Nekrozma and Eternatus are only Fug tier in lore. You can argue they can go toe to toe with Palkia and Dialga but Giratina is a level even above that.

Didn't happen. Arceus was never catchable in any main line Pokémon game. He's always been and always will be event only. He won't be catchable in Legends Arceus and he won't be catchable in BDSP.

That title goes to either the USUM Protagonists for their Rainbow Rocket feats, or the SWSH Protagonists for becoming Chosen Ones so hard they get a Box Legend, Eternatus, Urshifu AND Calyrex + Legendary Steed of choice.

It's still kind of counts, though. Most of the story happens at the end of those games and you catch Eternatus anyway. The wolves are just the Guardian of Galar who happen to hard counter the bigger more powerful monster.

Only through event distributions, it's never been legally made available ingame so far.
Legends will probably change that by making Arceus the ultimate goal of the game, be fought and caught as part of some paid DLC.
