Gen 5 is excellent and the only game to even approach the quality of a standard JRPG, while (You)r favorite generation is bad.

Gen 5 tried too hard to be a JRPG. They forgot what makes the gameplay of Pokémon so special, and now the games are ruined forever because of this.

Stop with this cope already. Gen 5 was bad and therefore sold badly. It's clear that from Gen 5 onwards GF wanted a shift in direction in the games. Gen 5 is no different to Gen 6, 7 and 8 in terms of execution, which is why I find it stupid when Unovaborts claim Gen 5 to be the peak and anything after shit. If XY was Gen 5 and BW was Gen 6 you'd all say the same exact thing about them; "xy tried something new and bw was a rushed failure!!".

Gen 5 is for people that play for the "human" characters and the previous gens are for people that play for the monsters and exploration. I swear by the 4th gym in gen 5 you've met more named characters with dyed hair wanting to strike up a conversation than you've actually run into different Pokémon.
