Honestly, why would anyone on their right minds choose B/B2 over W/W2 when the white versions have a ton of gen 1-4 pokémons you can catch in the post-game whereas on the black versions you can only battle a bunch of npcs every day.

Black 2 has fast pacing, multiple antagonists and a rival with a minor story arc. X&Y was too bland and slow. The antagonist has a few interesting pieces of dialogue but that's pretty much it. The side characters are too one note and there's no real sense of urgency in the plot.

Black 2 expanded on Black's characters and villains. Although the story is almost nonexistent in previous instalments. They made a genuine effort with Gen 7 and the Gen 3 remakes. While the Gen 4 remakes kept the same mediocre story and didn't add anything.
