Masters has confirmed itself as canon recently with the influence on the anime where Erika got Leafeon and Cynthia got Kommo so I don't want to hear any non canon arguments about masters.

How would a Gym Leader, who the protag beat in the previous game, have a perfect record when being Champion in the sequel? Unless you want to assume that only Black 1 is canon and not White 1.
Only reason I put a presumably on Wallace is that Emerald isn't a sequel to RS. Both Blue and Lance have canon Ls on their way to the title (Lance to Blue, Blue a few times to Red).

Nothing in the mainline series actualy implies she's a top of the line champion.

The gen V playable characters canonically use the other legendary in his fight. You have to jump through loops to even avoid doing so with your playable character. Unless you both have a full team and a full PC, you will catch that legendary, and you always send it out first.

Turns out Galar has more strong trainers than other regions due to their more competitive setting and competing for Gym spots.
Also Melony is a minor league gym leader in Sword, and in Shield she canonically loses to Allister. Her win record against Raihan is an interesting aberration, similar to some lower tier teams having good records against much better ones.
