>>49102613>>49101721Men are so damaged, lol
Some man once beat you up or berated you for expressing feelings, and now you cringe at any other man doing the same, seeing your own mistakes. A vicious cycle. You've been whipped into a box of expected mannerisms, scared to venture out because somebody will kick you back in. You punch at your surroundings so your jailers will back away from the bars. Many people would hurt you, so you carry the expectation that everyone will hurt you if aren't on the offense. It's scary, isn't it? And you're not strong enough to withstand that, to walk outside and connect with others through vulnerability with confidence. You don't want to deal with the blows that would inevitably get through your defenses, but in avoiding this you sacrifice so much warmth.
It's really sad. So many men end up dying with regrets of not having opened up more to their family, always keeping everybody at arm's length, never letting their guard down. Always holding that macho mask up to their face. There are many times where this armor is needed, but with this topic? Exchanges of sentimentality with loved ones? You can take the mask off, dude. If your main chick is worth it, if she loves you, you can tell her a bit about your feelings and worries, and be intimate with your heart. You'll get that deeper connection, one of the things that makes living so fucking worth it.
