Why is its title screen music so gloomy?
Other title screens feature upbeat and adventurous theme, while this one is so depressing and creepy.

It’s a funeral theme, Gamefreak finally accepted they killed Pokemon with Ruby and Sapphire and no longer had any reason to celebrate

It was probably made this way because of the intro movie ending on a mysterious, sinister note with it foreshadowing the climax of the story. Unfortunately, most people skipped the intro movie so it just looks like a weird decision made by the devs. The changed this in Platinum but ironically though, that game's intro movie ends on an even more sinister note with the close up of Giratina ready to vore the player.
