Personally my rating would be something like RS is the best and most worth reading, DPP is the runner up. GSC, BW+2, and ORAS are also good. RBY, XY, SM, and current SS are decent, and Emerald and FRLG are more so-so. I don't actually remember what HGSS was like except that I thought Kris did not look good in Lyra's clothes.
I feel sorry for the writer having to work with the dog shit that is the Delta Episode and SS writing but I think they've been doing about the best they could have with it.
