A lot of single stage mons like Lapras, Snorlax, and Sudowoodo have single-digit populations in their regions. Most are more common in others places though.
There are about 4 Silvally/Nulls in tue world as of SwSh, but that is possibly a legend canonically.

Think that was supposed to be the implication, yeah. Gladion has one as his partner, the second is gifted to Sun/Moon by Gladion as a proof of friendship and trust between the two Trainers, while the last Type: Null is left in cryogenic stasis.

God I hate the Pokedex and Game Freak. What was the point in writing this when they, as you mentioned, literally created three instances of the Pokemon in Alola as a form of future-proofing Type: Null and Silvally's excuse for being obtainable in later games.
