>>49119431>It isn't even an arc, it isn't long enough.Just because you stopped paying attention to it doesn't mean it's bad. Did you forget everything that happens afterwards? You think the midpoint is the resolution, why should I trust your opinion?
>I personally found Aether quite compelling, though I wish there had been more exposition on Lusamine.Lusamine, and arguably the secret lab bullshit, are really the only interesting parts of it. I see what you mean if that's the case, even if I don't agree.
>I was more talking about where the rides take youThe Ultra Beast worlds are fucking sick, for the most part. The rest, not so much. I get it, they had no time to develop this game, so they did the best they could and I appreciate that.
>I respect the disagreement but honestly I can't see why anyone would enjoy a Battle Frontier over more story content and postgame lore dumps.Sometimes I want to go back to a game rather than restart it. Ultra Wormhole is that, generally speaking. Sometimes it's the Pokathelon, or a more core gameplay thing like the Trainer Tower or Pokestar Studios. And sometimes it's a different variation on battles. But yes, having both is important, if you don't have both you're that one retard who plays XY for the Battle Masion. Not even ORAS, XY.
>If you want competitive play, ranked online exists. You say that, and yet not only did Gen 4 lack this, for a while the DS games lacked easily accessible online at all. Online is good while it lasts, but unfortunately a lot of it relies on a central server. Even just trading with people becomes harder like that. At least Sword/Shield has LAN mode, one of the few bits of credit I'm willing to give.
>Shit in the rental one(s) you can't even use your own Pokemon, and that feels awful. It's a different kind of challenge. Some people welcome that, it's more about in the moment decision making. Compare that to PWT where the Type Expert tournaments are more heavily teambuilding and planning orientated.
