No. Your Pokemon can still discern between ally and enemy just fine, and will under no circumstances attack its buddy - but in an attempt to hurt the ENEMY it may trip up and slam onto the ground, or exert itself too strongly and cause itself physical injury, or simply mis-aim and so metaphorically and literally shoot itself in the foot, for example.

What kind of idiotic logic is that? Why is it okay to go off-model for one but not the other? Also the floater is inflatable (not solid, which is what constitutes a tumor) and it's cute.
