Alola has multiple side areas that expand its routes instead if just combining 2 routes and calling it one. Galar has the Wild Area, and DLC.

This is good route design but Hoenn has too many trainers I think. I didn’t realize it until I went back to play Emerald, there’s just so many, same in ORAS which is why you get over leveled with the new exp share
