You can't go wrong in Hoenn, but my vote goes to Sceptile. Never underestimate the power of the anime to make a 'mon cool.

Again, the anime. I tend to favour speedy Pokemon anyway, so Infernape suits me well.

It saddens me to say it, but Contrary is a necessity. Serperior's design rules (ha) but it doesn't hold up in battle without Contrary Leaf Storm. Still, I'll take the speedy reptile.

I prefer Fennekin more in their base forms, and while I think Delphox is just fine, Greninja wins out in my eyes.

Incineroar is an embarrassment, but I like Litten and Torracat too much not to pick it, even though Decidueye is pretty slick.

Inteleon is more my style, speedy reptile and all, but its design is just a little...disturbing, and Sobble just doesn't win me over as a Starter, so while I have no great attachment to Cinderace, it's my pick here for lack of a better option.
