In my latest SoulSilver run, I lost at least once to every Gym Leader except Falkner. Bugsy and Pryce took over 3-4 attempts.

I don't think I've EVER used one. Just sold them like I do with single use TM's if cloning isn't an option.

Hear me out, OP. In my last Crystal run I had to evolve an Eevee named Muffin into an Espeon and discovered that spamming X items is the optimal method for increasing friendship as it gives you like 5 points for each boost. I just battled bugs outside Goldenrod and spammed X items. This is the one and only time I've ever used them.
