It's not that they CAN'T it's that they don't HAVE to.
If they can throw any old shit together and people will buy the game regardless there isn't exactly going to be stringent quality control with regards to designs.
Some guy at GF probably walked into the office with a picture his kid drew and was like hey let's put this guy in and call him Kleavor lol. That's my headcanon for what happened with Eiscue anyway.

Honestly I think the fact they keep bringing in more and more outside talent is hurting the franchise. Every artist has a unique style, and when you only have a handful it’s fine and possible to still have a cohesive overall style — but now that they hire freelance artists, there’s less cohesion and more off-the-wall designs.

They still can and do design great mons, all of the legends mons revealed so far have had great designs kleaver and voltorb are the only ones that are even debatable and even then theyre ok at worst. The inspiration of newer gen mons have been some of the most diverse and creative in the franchise and if you even had half a brain you could be able to see that, stop trying to push this stupid meme

What do you mean how, retard? What animal has literal axes for appendages? Animals without normal upper appendages have prehensile feet to make up for it and failing that, use their mouths to pick things up. Kleavor doesn't look capable of doing either.
