It's really amusing to me that every single trainer in the Pokemon games is dogshit terrible at the combat sport their entire world if obsessed with. Even the overwhelming majority of Elite Four members would get absolutely massacred in a Smogon or VGC match. It's hard for me to take this world where everyone is mega autistic about pokemong battles when clearly no one in the world actually knows how to fucking battle to save their lives.
