So they updated Eevee's model for your partner in Let's go, why did they not use this updated Eevee for sword and BDSP? Why are we still stuck with 3DS Eevee?

Because then they would have to update all the Eeveelutions to stay consistent with quality, likewise with Pikachu with regards to Pichu and the Raichus.

Because the updates were for the specific functionality related to the partner mons from LGPE, SWSH works with the usual model/animation ""3DS"" pool they have.

Because any other Eevee in LGPE gets the non partner model. Partner Eevee is a special Eevee.

The partner eevee has bones that allow clothes and hats to attach to the model

The regular game eevee needs no such extra bones and it saves space to continue using the regular one

Not like anyone who gives a shit will be looking at the eevee model long before they evolve it anyway
