Why do you faggots want fucking Game Freak to make a 2D game?
Even during the DS era that's considered to be the peak their animations were subpar and it's even worse now if you look at games like Giga Wrecker.

Oh I actually really like this. I could easily imagine it mimicking the mode 7 of the SNES with the stadium rotating and having multiple Pokemon sprites for the different angles. Would look pretty cool and would prefer it over lazy cashgrab 3D.

Gamefreak is obviously better at 2D than 3D but I would prefer if it was from a different more competent company. Overall Pokemon is best being 2D, and 3D should only be for spinoffs similar to Stadium.

What the fuck kind of button layout uses ASZX anyway? That doesn't seem comfortable at all. Most people are used to WASD movement and your neutral keyboard positions are on ASDF and JKL; anyway so why not use the latter for buttons?

no, they're not obviously better at 2D than 3D, you just have ridiculously lower standards for their 2D games. gen 3 looks like a fucking recolored gameboy game and DP/BW have shittier sprite animations than even GBA games.

No, I don't agree.

Pokemon maps were bigger than virtually every other 2D game on the same platform.

Pokemon maps are now smaller (tenfold) than most 3D games. You can combine Kalos, Galar and Alola and it's not even close to the size of BOTW.
