Now that the shitposting seems to be over, how about a genuine appreciation thread for the Johto Legendary pokémon? All pictures and honest comments about Celebi, Ho-oh, Lugia, Entei, Raikou and Suicune are welcome.

Johto’s little collection of legendaries are by far my favorite group. They just feel so much cooler in a much more distinct way. Like I don’t need my legendaries to be ancient multi-dimensional dragon gods with a super saiyan form. Having them just be powerful beasts or birds with historical ties to the region you’re exploring is so much better for the experience.
I love the Regis too

I love how Ho-Oh and Lugia exist in the same universe, and have different roles in the world and their own unique stories and lore. Since Gen 3, box Legendaries have just felt like stand-ins for eachother.
