>>49134017This game needed a harder difficulty mode. It really really did and everyone knows that more or less including GF hopefully. Another issue is that balancing a game around kids being the primary (but not only) consumer is it is like making food. It's more art than science and you never know what a little kid (or any player) will do when playing a game and especially one like this where later kids may get buy game with the DLC combo which radically fucks up any intended progression GF had in mind with the main game.
I have two nephews and 1 neice and in some way or another they all ended up doing the DLC in some way or form and ended up over-levelled and way past the curve which made the main game trivial as fuck for them when they went back to the main game progression. You can say "well they should have not went to the DLC in the first place and got spoiled" but it's not my job or responsibility to do GF's work in incentivizing/disincentivizing certain routes.
