Maybe this is just the autism talking (it almost certainly is) but if you're not going to be invested in something, why bother talking about it or interacting with it? For me, I don't listen to much music, watch any TV or movies, or any of that sort of stuff. It's mostly video games, and I feel I know a lot about them in general. I could always learn more, and even if I'm fucking wrong about things at least I can be corrected if I talk about them. At the end of the day, I'm putting myself out there about something I'm passionate about. But I don't go on /mu/ and try to talk about how I like music because I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, nor do I particularly care about it.
