look for a gastly, level up a couple times til it evolves, and trade it with a fren. or better idea, play platinum on a ds/ds lite and insert a gen 3 game into the second slot, there you can catch one in the wild.

can't you trade online in bdsp at least? idk much about the new games but surely there's a way to trade online, there was in the original dp. also, you can do it with haunter, gengar just has better stats but i don't think he learns anything new.

I've been doing it the same was I did it during DP. Open the map app that tracks them and ksit go between jublife and that route that heads East. It works so well and I was consistently running into them, I just didn't have any way to trap them.

Roamers only jump randomly around the map when you use Fly.
Every time the player clicks into a new area the roamers will move into an adjacent area from where they were.

Save in the route you cornered it in. Then if it flees, just reset. They changed it from the originals. Also, use a quick ball every time you start a battle with Cresselia

He's not though, that's literally how roaming pokes have always worked. Flying re-randomizes them, and moving to a new route or location by walking/biking makes them move 1 location in a random direction.
