There will never EVER be another Pokemon game where the male trainer player character is more popular than the female trainer player character. Gen 2 was the last and it will NEVER happen again.
And that's a GOOD thing!

Brendan at BEST is AS popular as May. Not more.
Gamefreak either needs to step up their male player character designs or wake the fuck up and just remove male characters as an option entirely. They're CLEARLY a waste of resources at this point.
