It isn't going to be fully opens, but more like a series of large wild areas opened by story progression. The good news is that those areas will probably be large enough to feel like exploration anyway.

I hope there would be more variety in clothes. SwSh had ok customization but almost no variety so you couldn’t even make yourself look decent by combining different clothes
