While "better than the last thing" we got might be good enough for you, I'm not looking for good enough. I'm likewise cautiously optimistic about these games, but I'm not as easily pleased and I'm not NOT going to critique them just because they're not complete shit.
I'm aware it's a game with many interesting features and series firsts, that's why I'm looking to buy them at a price drop as opposed to just pirating or outright skipping them as I've done with other games in recent years.
Also while the games may look better than SwSh, the sheer inconsistency of the way this game looks makes it look worse overall for me. I'll take a subpar game with consistent a consistent art style and graphics over inconsistency any day.

Mind you, it's obviously different in this case because it's GF who is concerned, but given their relationship with ILCA at the moment who knows? Maybe we'll see more outsourced/co-developed stuff in the future, hopefully from an actual fucking company though and not a support studio who's resume is...dubious at best.
