>>49151650I like normal because strong neutral coverage is fun and easy to work with since most normal type have option to deal with ghost, though steels are pretty annoying before gen 5. For that matter I also like poison types just because I prefer bulkier types with consistent coverage.
If you are trying your first mono-type run either try something fast like electric/flying or something easy to access early like bug/grass.
