BDSP has moments that it looks OK, but for the most part it feels like it has an uglier art style then the originals and looks way less polished then Sword and Shield (which was also a train wreck).

Legends reminds me of Xenoblade 2, ambitious with what it wants to do, but is trying to fit all of that on the switch with poor visual quality that doesn't gel with the rest of it and ends up looking ugly. That and the resolution and the framerate I can already tell are going to be a big fucking issue. It feels like they are trying to make a huge game without a team that is skilled enough to deliver it.

Basically, both look like crap and I hate how shitty this generation has been with its art styles in almost every game. Honestly, both X/Y and Sun/Moon have decent art styles despite being on the 3DS and I hate how we have regressed in that regard.

LGPE has a better artstyle than the 3DS games and even the DS games imo, but it has awful gameplay. Pokemon on the Switch in general has been disappointing apart from New Pokemon Snap. BDSP and SwSh have been "meh" games as you mentioned and Unite is gacha cancer.

It's really more like original Xenoblade levels where they don't quite know what they're doing and the textures are kinda shit.

I don't know if I agree on XY, I think it's got the same problem as RS where the overworld looks kinda like ass but the battles look alright I guess (oh look guess which game got remade in the same generation). SM does look mostly fine, there's some questionable texture work but from emulator screenshots SM actually looks better than SS in some places.
