>>49158501>If the Sinnoh Pokemon that are most predominant in the higher tiers are evolutions of prior PokemonOh-ho boy, that's a fucking statement to make.
While there are a healthy number of new evolution in OU, there are just as many that barely made an impact. To say that "Uhhh DP powercreep happen because new evolutions" is fucking absurd when some of the most defining Pokemon in the metagame are things from the earlier gens. You're completely ignoring the impact things like the Physical Special split had on the meta, and ignoring the fact that the powercreep was localized around a small number of overcentralizing Pokemon that were eventually banned (namely Garchomp and Salamence).
There was a jump in power from Gen III to IV, yes, but it had nothing to do with "muh BST average", something that indicates something completely different (low number of new evolutionary lines being introduced in the gen, meaning few unevolved mons and as such a higher average BST among the small
keyword here being small number of non-legendary Pokemon introduced in the gen.)
So again. You came to a conclusion based on things you already know, and went back and tried to use something completely unrelated to that to try to prove said point.
>>49158546This post is just baffling. Snorlax is part of the fucking trio of normals that run Gen I, T-tar was great it its debut gen, and Salamence was borderline broken in Gen III. You clearly don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
