I would be being extremely generous if I were to call Murkrow a witch crow with some gangster elements, but in reality what's far more likely is that Murkrow was a witch crow that was retroactively fitted into being a gangster crow. Not in the final release of Gen II, mind you, but in fucking Gen IV because Gamefreak was too god damned lazy to come up with a good evolution to the fucking thing and wasted their witch design on god damned Misdreavus
Mismagius has a really good design, mind you, but that's hardly the point.
