On a different note, where do you even get meltan anymore? I know it came out in pokemon GO, can you still catch it there to transfer or are there other ways to get it now?

Literally just Go and there's a limit on it. You can use Let's Go to get the mystery box in Go which you can open once every 3 or so days to spawn Meltans for an hour. Then to get Melmetal you have to grind 300 Meltan candies and evolve it in Go (cannot be evolved in other games).
It's...not really worth the effort unless you really love Meltan, I didn't get a Melmetal til last year because its such a pain.

There are a few events for you to get one which can G-MAX, but other than that I dunno.

You get them from GO still. Meltan doesn't get much attention, when they do distributions it's always for Melmetal. I imagine the main reason for that is they massively fucked up Meltan, seeing as it's treated as being a standalone Pokemon instead of being Melmetal's base stage so it can't evolve outside GO and can't even use Eviolite, and now that I think about it Melmetal's the only G-Max you can't get with Max Soup too, so maybe GF just hates them.

the Hisuian forms and evolutions probably won't make it into any main series games since it's implied they went extinct long ago. They could bring them back through some time travel mechanic or maybe even fossils, but I doubt it.

Armored Mewtwo, I was almost certain they were going to add them to Sword & Shield, and unlike a simple alternate design like Zarude, it actually has different stats as well

It's just Psychic still, I didn't make those stats up for how I think it would work, that's what the Pokémon is like in Pokémon GO, just Mewtwo with their offensive and defensive stats flipped.
