Doesn't Unfezant seem out of place? All the other Pokemon are good competitively and also stereotypically "cool" or "edgy," whereas Unfezant is an early route flying-type shitmon and not even a decent one like Staraptor or Talonflame?

While it would've been a more deserving win than the special olympics over at Alola where half his team evolved, the first mistake was even further back. OS-DP showed some consistent growth but the mental reboot in BW followed by him being a powerhouse shonen protag in XYZ is still such an odd change of character. And now he's just got Goku's personality.

That's because Ash took the easy path with the OC DONUTSTEEL freebie instead of being the shonen protagonist and enduring it verything with his shitmon partner, that's why Alain won, he sticked with his shitmon partner (cuckizard)

I was actually thinking about it today. Slugfucker is the worst design Pseudo-legendary by far, and it's not even close. It's better that it isn't immortalized as on of the Pokémon Ash took to his first championship win. So yes, Allen was both the hero we needed and deserved.

It's amazing how Drake's Dragonite had TEN GODDAMN MOVES and is still considered to be underrated. They even went through such great lengths to show that he was truly the final boss of Kanto after two whole seasons of cockteasing. The best part? Ash actually triumphed over this behemoth.

The guy who was thinking of making his friend happy again won VS the guy who only wanted to win. I'm not even joking, they both had an introspection moment before the end and Ash was only thinking about finally winning the league while Alain was thinking about his friend.
