Pokemon doesn't have many appeals. The games were always trash and braindead easy.

Being able to transfer your Pokemon from 15 years ago and constantly building on the amount of creatures were one of the things that made Pokemon unique.

You make it sound like other games don't allow you to don those things because they decided to. Have you ever considered that creating all those characters actually eat up a lot of development time? I'm pretty sure pokemon could look just like xenoblade if it had only 50 pokemon, just how like xenoblade only have like 25 monsters.

It's amazing how you came so close to the truth, yet fell so short, normies didn't care about GBA, just like they ignored the 3DS. That's why despite the selection of games released for GBA, the only ones to sell above 10 million were Pokémon. Contrast the DS where the top 5 were notrmie-focused with Pokéon in 5th place (also normie, but diluted by the vast majority of blue ocean normies Nintendo was aiming at that Gen, just like Switch has other, more normie IP's ahead of Pokémon in 5ht place still).
