I liked that B2W2 had a postgame battle facility that was intended for you to use your normal story team with their normal stats, I’d much rather have that over Battle Tower….

Roadblocks are a huge problem in gen5 and I've the strong suspicion that all the HM hate comes from unovaborts hating on one of the worst mechanics of their favorite games more than anything, since in Gen 5 field moves work only as roadblock (granted, stuff like cut and rocksmash were always meant to roadblock you over bushes and pebbles, but gen5 I genuinely the first one where surf doesn't open up the region and just ferries you through yet another roadblock)

Look, I really couldn’t give less of a shit about the competitive battle facilities if I tried, but I think a game having both the Battle Frontier and a Black Tower/White Treehollow analogue should be the standard for future games and I really wish Black Tower/White Treehollow-style facilities were in later games
