Swooshkino is a level of soul that hasn't been scene in nearly 2 decades. A brilliant game that allows so much agency in what pokemon you can use as there are potentially hundreds of options before the first gym. The overworld makes it feel more alive than most pokemon games as you can actually interact with pokemon and choose which ones you actually want to run into. For this reason, it's probably the best game for shiny hunting. Unlike low quality pokemon games like the entirety of gen 4, it is actually experimental and works to become it's own game instead of just copy pasting the game before it, reshape the landscape a bit and sell it for full price. Galar is a unique experience with its wild area concept, original characters and lore. Then there's raiding which adds a whole new way of battling that is unseen before and is arguably harder as it relies on everyone being good rather than just one person. Meanwhile, it is not afraid to toss out pointless clutter that no one uses like the move ice ball for content that people can actually notice. The replacement of Megas for Dynamax was probably one of the best decisions in pokemon history. Megas were ugly, only giving to snowflakemons, were way too edgy looking, had a dumb lore than arguably conflicts with established lore and didn't change the game at all since a mega pokemon is basically a wannabe legendary. Dynamax on the other hand are available to every pokemon and was a gamechanger in doubles. It's available to every mon and objectively makes 98% of the pokemon look naturally cooler. This makes sense if you look at it this way:A normal dog is just a normal dog. An overly spiky dog with rabbies is too cluttered. A giant parade-size float of a dog is cool. Bigger is always better. SS also has the best 3rd version in pokemon as it gives two regions worth of content and unlike a third version, doesn't try to fix the past but instead focuses on making its own adventure.
