Tripfagging isn't avatarfagging. To avatarfag you need to be both namefagging/tripfagging and uploading an image on your post as if it was your pfp or signature. Making bottom text signature also counts towards this.

There is a striking example of this application, which happened during the Tumblr vs /b/ wars back then in 2014. Where several tumblerkeks made hate threads posting their pfps and all of them got banned by both raiding, low quality posting, making flame wars and avatar/signature use.
