Some of gen 2's strenghts come from the beautiful graphics, cool rocket storyline, pretty good pokemon variety (For the time, obviously, there werent that many pokémon yet), and optional areas (Though i wish some of these had better items, a lot are justified by having pokemon in there or important items)
Not even a gen 2 fan btw, most gens are kino
