This. I hate gen 5 but gen 4 was the one that started the whole digimon aesthetic with fakemon designs and horribly lazy routes. It's also when they decided they would just take the template for gen 3 and just change the words when it came to story or legendary ideas.

It was ORAS you fucking faggot. ORAS is the game that showed us GF stopped giving a fuck. XY was understandably lacking in content, but we expected all of its flaws to be fixed in the Z version that never arrived. ORAS just skimped on creating a battle frontier for the usual time constraint reasoning. SM/USUM is when it was obvious the series was going to the shits.

You’re not wrong. Pokémon had a sense of secrecy back in the day, but now it’s all about accessibility to everyfuckingbody. It encouraged challenge and thrived on mystery, now it’s all about inclusivity. Pokémon Go really accelerated the downfall of Pokémon. Fugggggg
