>>49186451I finally made it. Same strategy without crits. Fair battle. Playing without Items and Battle Style on Set. Capturing and using every pokemon until max evolved then boxing and evolving another.
Conclusions about the game:
You can fully evolve the majority of the Pokemon you catch in a normal playthrough.
You can keep changing Pokemon and the badge boosts will help you making it through the game.
The open world is real. After Surge, you can explore Celadon, Saffron and Lavander. After Koga, you can freely explore the region and capture the majority of Pokemon. I captured and evolved 79, but there are lot more available. After that I just boss rushed until completion, which leveled my team to mid 30. Same level range of GSC. Huh, curious.
Movepools are shit but honestly the TMs make up for it. I saved them for my final team and made them viable this way. For example, someone uploaded Rhydon's learnset. I taught mine Earthquake and Rock Slide. Infinite TMs broke this mechanic making every pokemon use the same moves and losing a little bit of the TMs RPG element. Ice beam for Dewgong, Fire Blast for Rapidash, Thunderbolt for Electrode... You get the idea.
Indigo League was fun. Even though the four were a Breeze, Blue was kind of a challenge. Still, WAY more fun than let's say, SwSh champion. It felt like an accomplishment to win with my shitmons after three tries. Not something you feel with newer games.
Anyway, good game, 10/10. I'm really happy after beating this. A feeling I haven't felt since
Black 1. See you in Johto /vp/! Thanks for your support.
>being this newThere's a exp all if you catch at least 50 pokemon but I doubt a zoomer knows anything about what they're talking about.
