Rillaboom is the favorite of people who really hate the other two starters. The people who like Intelleon and Cinderace genuinely like them a lot. Rillaboom is just the least worst for people who think the Gen 8 starters are the worst ever.

I picked Rillaboom purely because the other starters were worse, and still ended up boxing it (which I'd never done with my starter before)
that they made a "drum gorilla" and didn't use the fact gorillas "drum" their chests in its design is genuinely baffling
