This settles it, mainstream Pokemon fans no longer give a fuck of seeing newer Pokemon. Future gens will be lucky to go over 50 Pokemon

What are the ones that havent appeared?
Regardless of any of that, the new anime format doesnt care which gen the mainline games are on, so i dont see the problem at all

Not happening. GameFreak is never revisiting the Let's Go concept.

Possible, but it's a 50/50 between Gen 9 and this. There is no other option, we're at the end of the 3 Year Gen Cycle. Though if anything, assuming BotW2 releases for Holiday '22, I'd bet Gen 9 because Legends and BotW2 would cannibalize each other.

That is not that odd, many Pokemon didn't get their anime debut until very late into the generation.

I think Sneasal makes its first anime debut in the last 20 episodes of the OG series.

If gen 9 does arrive in 2022, any gen 8 mon they forgot will be even MORE forgotten as they focus on the gen 9 pokemon

But that is just rehashing AG-XY Series which is repetitive as fuck being constricted to a single region, and puts a cap on the number of episodes before the next Gen Series.

Even ones that have appeared were either in the background or had very, very brief screentime. For example, Wooloo was the biggest meme mon the begining of this gen but only showed up in background shots in maybe 2 episodes. And Dragapult, one of the more popular ones, had maybe 30 seconds of screentime, if that.

Fucking this. The old formula used since AG became stale by XY. Everyone was expecting something different in terms of formula for the anime in those times which is why SM Anime ditched most of it's old formula, albeit being stuck-in-a-single-region formula still sticking.

And that Anon in >>49183815 is wrong about the naming tho for the anime. It's called Pocket Monsters or PM for short. PM is the Series which shook away almost all of the old formula is pretty refreshing.

This. PM Series doesn't even follow the games closely. It is simply independent on its own without the baggage, which allows overall better creativity of the episodes instead of constant rehashing of past Gen based Series (AG-XY).
