Day 9 of looking for shiny ralts on route 102 in emerald. Currently at 3,258 random encounters, but picking up the pace now. Will today be the day?

Knowing I got a legit shiny will make me happy, and simply giving myself one will not. I want to do the ribbon master challenge with this pokemon (acquiring all the possible ribbons in each gen on a single pokemon) and it will feel more special to me if it's a shiny I grinded for.

My shiny gard from Emerald that my cousin traded to me back in 2005 is now gone for good. It died when I jjumped into a swimming pool with my copy of emerald in my swimming trunks. My level 100 shiny gardevoir with psychic and all three elemental punches, gone for good.
