>>49184077This isn't a "bad" hack. Based on what this description says, it's likely something made by a literal kid who overestimated his skills, probably using primitive and bug-inducing hacktools. There are million of such "hacks" and probably everyone who ever tried hacking made something like this, myself included. The only difference is that most people lose their heart at some point and just abandon it, while this person went on to even publish it.
But still, I wouldn't go too hard on criticizing it. It's "out of competition".
What I'd call an actual "bad hack" is one that despite the effort and (at least passable) skill is still an awful game in most aspects.
