>>49188881>shittier exploration than games before itAbout on par with Gen 1
>shittier battle facilities than games before itBW has more or less the same Battle Tower as DP, although Truant does trivialize singles so I understand if you have a problem. I'd also argue at this point rentals should be a standard thing for the Battle Tower after the Factory was in Emerald and Platinum, but I understand. If you're taking into account B2W2, I mean the facilities are a lot more weird in comparison to Platinum, the Black Tower/White Treeholow is more like something from Emerald, Pokestar Studios is Battle Sims but with extra flavor, and while PWT might be easier from battle to battle the actual teambuilding part takes more mental effort than usual. It takes variety over straight difficulty, and I can get if that's not your thing.
>objectively bad sprites and animations, jarring inconsistent graphicsSubjective, I love that weird early 3D aesthetic.
>shittier online than games after it, shittier QoL than games after itI try not to blame games for things they didn't do that later games did, mostly because if you go in with that mindset every Pokemon game is garbage compared to some idealized game that probably can't possibly exist.
>mediocre writingSomewhat subjective, but I will say the translation is a little stiff
>piss easy difficultyDue to the way EXP scaling works you will generally be at a more even level compared to your opponent. We can argue about the team design of most major bosses, but that's a way harder thing to talk about in general. The only real problem is the Lucky Egg in the middle of the story for some reason, but much like the EXP share of XY that's more of a conscious decision to make things easier. As it stands, lack of difficulty isn't necessarily a negative, but being easy isn't something that BW necessarily is either.
>and constant handholdingAgain, arguable, we could go on about that sort of thing forever
