Same deal here fuckwit, Game Freak are adding new pokémon to the canon, which will be playable in Gen IX for VGC as they'll be able to pass to Home in March then Gen IX when it gets connected to Home.
That's your fault for trying to predict GF's actions from other studios, Game Freak do their own thing, as doing that started Pokémania and continued to keep the brand going, while all around them told them it was gonna die a fad.
