Holy shit, the beach and water sections look terrible. I'm sorry. I'm not usually a graphics person, but it was so jarring. I had to stop the bloody video and make sure I wasn't going crazy. Really, most of the outdoor areas beyond the village look really rough. Especially for a game that releases in a few weeks.

And yes, "Muh gamplay!" looks pretty interesting. Sure. Pokemon has never been graphically intensive. But these substandard visuals are just more evidence that Pokemon continues to shove its games out the door. Even this, which should be a landmark title.

And that's where it'll stop. I have seen the combat and it looks fun. I have seen the tracking, stalking, and catching mechanics and it looks fun. I have seen the research and it looks fun. I concede that the graphics could be better. But the rest, I'm happy with.
