easily the best town in kanto. succint, to the point, oyu know where everything is. seafoam islands close by, and it links back to pallet town which blew my 5 year old brain at the time.

The grayscale colours also play into the bleak and corrupt vibes of Kanto. That feeling is completely lost in FRLG/HGSS/LGPE. Even in GSC it's not really the same.

GSC's colours, however, work well to make Johto feel comfy as fuck.
