The original dragon is one of the best ideas game freak have ever had, a legendary that is left entirely to our imagination. You get to have a small glimpse of what it might look like with the fusions, but maybe it looks nothing like either of the fusions or any of the pokemon in the trio. Of course that means they'll probably ruin this in the future by having some godawful design for it

That's a really autistic take, and not at all what they were trying to imply. It's a yin-yang aesthetic, so it'd just be the asymmetrical abomination you get from pasting Black and White's halves together but smoothed out a bit more. There's no implication anywhere that the fusions aren't indicative of what the original looked like, in fact they heavily suggest exactly the opposite.
