they probably just changed it so the starters evolve at the same levels. it's been this way since gen 5 (not counting remakes).

You mean like how Alolan Sandshrew evolves with an Ice Stone, so you can get a Sandslash at level 1, meanwhile normal Sandshrew evolves at 22 so you can't have one till then? It doesn't line up the same being different methods at potentially different levels but they're both Sandshrew/slash, so what's the difference here?

Those aren't the same kind of Sandslash you fucking retard. The proposed suggestion would be a normal Cyndaquil that evolves into a normal Quilava at 17 instead of 14 for no fucking reason, it's not a variant it's the same fucking Pokemon but the evolution level is changed, in a system where we have a combined multi-game storage.

The fact that cyndaquil evolves at lvl 14 and they showed one at lvl 15, it's a cyndaquil when it could be a quilava, meaning they pressed B to not let it evolve. Basically they hid its evo from us, kinda sus if you ask me. They haven't showed any middle evos either.

Are you actually retarded? Why would they get Hisuian evolutions when they aren't even in the game, and therefore not in Hisui at all? It's never even implied that the researcher guy has any of the other starters with him.
They took one starter from three different generations and made a new starter trio just for this game.
Instead of bitching about things because of your own faulty assumptions, be glad they didn't go the more obvious direction of bringing the Kanto starters over and giving all of them Hisuian evolutions instead.
