Here's what I don't like about Unova summarised:
>Linear region. It makes it feel small and disconnected, and more like a theme park than an actual liveable place. Also takes away a lot of freedom.>Game is focused on a centralising plot, rather than the player's own adventure through the region. The magic of Pokémon is that YOU create the story. Gen 5 kind of takes that away.>Region has random biomes everywhere, leaving it without identity. The first four regions feel way more natural and memorable because they focus on one or two specific climates.>Dumbed down difficulty. 8th Gym still has 3 Pokémon, and Elite Four have 4. Do I really need to say more?>So. Much. Dialogue. Every fucking step I take. I don't play Pokémon for the shitty plot, I play Pokémon to catch monsters and fuck shit up however I please.>Excessive handholding. You could argue DPPt started this, but in Gen 5 it's taken to the next level. The amount of handholding in these games is obscene and actually quite offensive.Those are my main gripes with Gen 5. There are a lot of things I DO like about Gen 5 of course, but it's not the common things most people say like the story and characters.
