2016 forced the series to chance. Alola was actually like a much needed vacation for the series and Gen 8 has been my favorite gen of the franchise.
Go works perfectly as the ideal entry point to the chapter the franchise is currently on. I haven’t been this excited about Pokémon since seeing Johto material for the first time in early 1999.
